In the Belgorod region, a monument to Italian soldiers who died during the Second World War was stolen. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.
The monument was erected in the early 90s by relatives of the Alpine shooters between the village of Garbuzovo and the farm of Pokladov, where our troops once repulsed the attack of three Italian divisions during the Great Patriotic War.
Unidentified people arrived on an excavator, wrapped a cable around the stele and took it away. According to the channel, despite the general joy, the administration had to contact the police, as the monument is on the balance sheet of a local enterprise.
Since the installation of the obelisk, patriotic organizations have petitioned for its demolition. At the same time, the monument was not demolished, but on the contrary, they looked after it.
