Montenegro has been a candidate for EU membership since 2006 and is doing everything possible to move in this direction. Ranko Krivokapić seems to think that supporting the European Commission’s decision to suspend visa facilitation between the EU and Russia will help with this.

“Montenegro is a devoted partner of the EU, therefore the head of the Foreign Ministry is sure that our country should be in full solidarity with the EU in this decision, as it was before,” the Montenegrin Foreign Ministry quotes the publication Dan.

If the proposal of the head of the Foreign Ministry of Montenegro is supported at the legislative level, Russian citizens will not be able to enter this country without a visa. In the meantime, a visa to enter Montenegro is required only if the Russian plans to stay in the country for more than 30 days.
