Nikolai Monov, head coach of the junior Russian national team, held a master class in Ryazan. The event was held at the Academy of Martial Arts with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Ryazan Region, the Regional Wrestling Federation and the Mother’s Heart Charitable Foundation.
The master class was attended by over 50 young athletes and coaches. Nikolai Monov told the audience about his life and sports path, told the history of the emergence of Greco-Roman wrestling and tested the guys on their knowledge of significant sporting events. And then there was a special exercise and a demonstration of wrestling techniques.
The master class was attended by the President of the Regional Wrestling Federation Valery Khabarov, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Foundation “Mom’s Heart” Vladimir Burmistrov and the Director of the Academy of Martial Arts Vitaly Shabanov.
“I try to pay maximum attention to the regions, to see the state of Greco-Roman wrestling in each of them, to see the attitude of the federation, the coaching staff, to communicate with children, to draw the attention of the leadership to the problems of our sport, to determine the impetus for the development of Greco-Roman wrestling,” said results of the event Nikolay Monov.
Vladimir Burmistrov drew attention to the need to form a patriotic consciousness among young people and promote a healthy lifestyle.
“If this is how we educate our generation, then I am sure that we will have a strong country and a worthy change of generation,” the chairman of the trustee charitable foundation emphasized.
