In Volgograd, money was deducted from a fired pharmacist for expired medications

The prosecutor’s office forced a chain of pharmacies in Volgograd to pay everything that was due to the fired pharmacist. The cost of drugs with expired expiration dates, as well as drugs with defective packaging, was deducted from the person. V1.RU writes about this.

According to the senior assistant regional prosecutor, the applicant worked as a pharmacist in one of the city’s pharmacy points. Upon his dismissal in July 2023, more than 32 thousand rubles were deducted from him. The employer included in this amount the cost of expired pharmacy products, the cost of goods whose expiration date would expire in the next few weeks, as well as the cost of drugs and medical products with deformed packaging.

It is reported that the legal entity and the head of the pharmacy chain, based on the results of the inspection, were held accountable for violating labor laws. The prosecutor’s office also submitted a proposal to eliminate the identified violations, following which the money was returned in full to the former employee’s account.
