The Moldovan Foreign Ministry commented on the possibility of introducing a visa regime with Russia
The Moldovan authorities currently have no plans to introduce a visa regime with Russia, said the Republic’s Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Reportedly, the Parliament of Moldova is currently considering a bill that would denounce agreements on visa-free travel for citizens of those states that are part of the CIS.
Popshoy said that introducing a visa regime with Russia is not yet possible.
“As long as no country has denounced the agreement on free movement, there are no such risks,” the diplomat said, noting that Chisinau has no such plans.
He also stated that this agreement was denounced by Russia itself, but Moldova has bilateral agreements with almost all CIS countries.
