Singer Boris Moiseev, dead September 27, will be buried on October 2 at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow. In the same place, in the funeral hall, a farewell ceremony for the artist will take place, his art director Sergei Gorokh explained.

“Farewell will be on October 2, Sunday, from 12 o’clock, the funeral hall of the Troekurovsky cemetery. They will be buried there, on the same day,” Mr. Gorokh told TASS. He stressed that the ceremony will be held in open mode.

The cause of the singer’s death, the art director explained, has not yet been established. Boris Moiseev was born in Mogilev in 1954 in a women’s penal colony: his mother, Genya Moises, was a political prisoner. He became one of the first queer artists in modern Russia, among the most famous songs of Mr. Moiseev: “Blue Moon” and “The Nutcracker”.
