Mobilized senior lieutenant Vladimir Rostov from the Nevyansky district of the Sverdlovsk region is accused of desertion. This is reported by RIA News.
It is clarified that after going to the front, the Russian’s chronic illnesses worsened, which is why he went for treatment to Voronezh. He remained in the local military hospital until December 16, maintaining contact with the command.
When it was time to be discharged, the doctor sent the man to receive further treatment at his place of residence, after which he ended up in his district hospital instead of a military hospital.
According to the mobilized wife, he informed his superiors about the situation and continued treatment. However, after a while he was accused of desertion because he did not show up to his unit. He was informed that he should have been treated in a military hospital and not in a private clinic.
Now Rostov faces a sentence of up to five years in prison. At the same time, the soldier’s relatives note that the accusation is not true, since the man did not intend to run away anywhere.
