The Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media proposes the creation of a register of consents to the processing of personal data with the possibility of revoking them through the Internet portal of the State Service, informs department in its Telegram channel.
The register of consents to the processing of personal data will enable users to see all the consents given, as well as to whom and when they were provided, to see the composition of personal data that is stored in these organizations, and it will also be possible to withdraw consent to their processing of personal data and the ability to control the deletion of their personal data.
The listed functions will become available in the personal account of the user of the State Services portal. In addition, Russians will be able to keep track of who has the right to process personal data and information about who this data was automatically transferred to.
On the eve of the Ministry of Digital suggested to launch a service at Gosuslugakh, with the help of which Russians will be able to confirm their identity in everyday situations. In particular, the service could be used when making purchases in a store, to confirm the right to free travel, when attending events with entry restrictions, and when entering office centers with a pass system.
In July it became known that the Ministry of Digital develops a bill that proposes to establish criminal liability for company representatives for the grave consequences of personal data leaks. Earlier, the State Duma adopted a law on strengthening the protection of personal data and tightening requirements for information processing operators.
