Roskomnadzor plans to introduce a ban on Russian companies the ability to transfer personal data of citizens to other countries that are going to send them to organizations whose activities are prohibited in Russia. This is reported “Kommersant”.

According to the new proposal of the Ministry of Digital Development, Roskomnadzor has the right to restrict the cross-border transfer of personal data, including on the proposals of the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These departments will also be able to put forward a requirement to prohibit the transfer of data abroad.
