Minnikhanov called the deputy’s criticism of Kadyrov a personal opinion

The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, did not support the deputy of the republic, Azat Khamaev, who condemned the announcement of the son of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, as a “hero of Muslims” after he beat someone arrested for burning the Koran. The deputy of the republic himself has already apologized “for his emotional statement, which could harm relations between fraternal peoples.” Mr. Khamaev emphasized that he expressed a “purely personal opinion” that was not supported by other deputies.

“The statement of State Council Deputy Azat Khamaev is solely his personal opinion and has nothing to do with the position of the Muslims of the republic,” Mr. Minnikhanov’s press service released a statement.

The head of the republic emphasized that “in Tatarstan they always treat the fraternal Chechen people with respect.” He noted “the efforts made by the first president of Chechnya, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, and the current head Ramzan Akhmatovich to establish peace in the region and preserve the integrity of the country.”

United Russia deputy Azat Khamaev, speaking from the rostrum of the republic’s parliament, asked the question: “What legal field do we live in today?” He went on to give an example. “The head of a subject of the Russian Federation awards the title of Hero to his son for beating a person. Further developing his idea, he says that he is the hero of all Muslims. Who can answer? – said Mr. Khamaev.

Let us remind you that on September 25, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video of the beating. The caption noted that the network is still arguing whether Ramzan Kadyrov’s son Adam beat Nikita Zhuravel, who is accused of burning the Koran. “He beat me and did the right thing,” wrote the head of Chechnya. At the beginning of October, Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic. On October 15, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video with footage of the beating again, calling his son a hero of all Muslims.
