About 1.4 billion rubles will be tentatively allocated in 2024 for child care benefits for children up to 1.5 years old if a parent returns to work early from maternity leave. This was announced on Thursday, October 12, in the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
The department said that it is planned to allocate 1.6 billion rubles for these purposes in 2025, and 1.8 billion rubles in 2026.
Earlier, the Government Commission on Legislative Activities approved the Ministry of Labor’s bill on maintaining child care payments to his parents even after leaving maternity leave.
Chairman of the Board of the Russian Bar Association Vladimir Gruzdev recalled that Russian legislation already allows an insured person on parental leave to work on a part-time basis.
