A storm warning was issued in Kamchatka due to waves in the Pacific Ocean, which, according to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kamchatka Territory, will reach nine meters in height.
The storm does not pose a threat to settlements located on the coast, but may threaten environmental safety in coastal waters if it leads to accidents on ships with oil spills.
Leaders of shipping companies are advised to take extra precautionary measures.
