Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation: Another 46 Russians left the Rafah checkpoint and went to Cairo

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that another group of 46 Russian citizens and members of their families crossed the border between Egypt and Israel at the Rafah checkpoint, left the Gaza Strip and went to Cairo. Earlier, the department reported that 170 Russians and their relatives were sent to the capital of Egypt in an organized convoy.
In Cairo, the evacuees are met by employees of the operational headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. They provide people with food, water and shelter, provide necessary medical and psychological assistance, and also help with the restoration of documents.
Since November 5, two Russian Il-76 aircraft from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have been on duty at Cairo airport to evacuate compatriots from Gaza.
Earlier, the director of the information policy department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Roman Okhotenko, said that the department accepted 887 applications for evacuation from the Gaza Strip. As of Friday morning, 288 people had been taken out of the enclave. Now the number of evacuees has almost doubled.
