Ministry of Emergency Situations: due to a hacker attack in some regions of Russia, the threat of a missile attack was announced on the radio

In some regions of Russia, an air raid alert and a threat of a missile attack were reported on the radio. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that this information was false, and it was announced on the air due to a hacker attack.

“This information is fake and does not correspond to reality. We kindly ask you to follow the reports in official sources,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a press release in Telegram.

According to the channel “Beware the News”, air raid alerts were broadcast on radio stations in Voronezh, Kazan, Magnitogorsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Pyatigorsk, and Tyumen. They were transmitted, in particular, by the radio stations Relax FM, Avtoradio, Humor FM, Comedy radio. “Gazeta.ru” writes that the message “Attention, attention, the threat of a missile strike” was also heard on the radio in Belgorod, Novouralsk, Moscow Region, Saratov, Stary Oskol, Ufa.

In the government of the Belgorod region saidthat the information on the radio was “fake”. According to the authorities, the broadcast of the local radio station was “hacked, presumably from the Ukrainian side” in order to “sow panic among peaceful Belgorod residents.” The government of the Voronezh region also declaredthat the message on the radio was “a provocation of accomplices of the Kyiv regime” and is not true.
