Ministry of Defense: Russian troops took advantageous positions in the Krasnolimansky direction

In the Vladimirovka area, two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also destroyed, and in the Kharkiv region, the LPR and the DPR, aviation, artillery and missile troops hit six enemy command posts. An American AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar was destroyed in the village of Torskoye DPR, the Defense Ministry added.

It was noted that in the Krasnolimansky direction, the Russian Armed Forces were able to take advantageous positions, destroying more than 80 military personnel, two tanks and three armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian forces tried to counterattack Russian units in the areas of the settlements of Disputed, Kurdyumovka and Maryinka in the DPR, but were defeated.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
