Ministry of Defense: grouping “South” thwarted counterattacks on Artemovsk from Chasov Yar

The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, said at a briefing on Saturday that in the Donetsk direction, the assault detachments of the Wagner PMC continued active operations to destroy the enemy on the western outskirts of Artemovsk.
At the same time, airborne units provided support to the attack aircraft.
In addition, strikes by operational-tactical and army aviation and artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems of the Yuzhnaya group of troops thwarted attempts to counterattack the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Konashenkov clarified that Ukrainian troops were trying to counterattack from the settlements of Chasov Yar, Kalinina and Krasnoe in the DPR.
