The invasion of the Polish authorities on the territory of the school at the Russian Embassy in Warsaw will not remain without a harsh reaction, Moscow considers the incident as an encroachment on Russian diplomatic property in Poland. On the morning of April 29, representatives of the Warsaw authorities and the police infiltrated to the school at the Russian embassy. As RIA Novosti wrote, they were refused the demand to open the gate, after which they decided to break the door. According to the agency, a chain with a lock was hung on the gate of the building so that property could not be taken out of the school. The Polish authorities said that the school staff must leave it before 19:00 Moscow time.

Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev, who also arrived at the school building, spoke about the illegal nature of the actions of the Polish side and called the incident an invasion of the territory of a diplomatic facility. He also warned that Moscow would protest.

The Polish authorities invaded the territory of the school at the embassy with the aim of seizing it, the Russian Foreign Ministry said later.

“We consider these yet another hostile actions of the Polish authorities as a blatant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and an encroachment on Russian diplomatic property in Poland,” the statement, which was published on the agency’s website, says.

They added that Warsaw’s “impudent step that goes beyond the framework of civilized interstate communication” will not remain without a “tough reaction” from Moscow and consequences for the authorities of the republic and its interests in Russia. “The initiators of such controversial and provocative undertakings need to understand this,” the Foreign Ministry stressed.

Official Warsaw has been violating the law for many years and is behaving “defiantly and illegally,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also said.

“What can be described in one word – provocation,” she wrote in her Telegram channel.

Andreev noted that Moscow would find another building for the school at the embassy, ​​and the diplomatic mission would ensure the normal completion of the school year and the passing of exams.

In March last year, Polish courts ruled that two Russian properties in Warsaw that were not used for diplomatic or consular purposes were handed over to the state treasury. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country reported that a secondary school at the Russian Embassy operates at one of the addresses.
