The Minister of Sports of the Altai Territory and bronze medalist of the 2012 Olympic Games in London Ivan Nifontov represented the region at the Russia exhibition.
On February 25, at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”, the head of the regional ministry, together with famous athletes from the Altai Territory, represented the region. Nifontov reported this on his personal VKontakte page.
“Today in Moscow at the international exhibition and forum “Russia” we are holding Sports Day. We have prepared an interesting program dedicated to the sports industry of the Altai Territory. The atmosphere at the region’s stand is excellent!” wrote the region’s sports minister.
Ivan Nifontov, together with football player Alexei Smertin and Honored Master of Sports of Russia in bullet shooting Sergei Kamensky, held a demonstration training session in judo. The minister shared photos on social networks. Nifontov introduced his fellow countrymen to the basic techniques and throws of judo. After this, the athletes tested their strength in sparring.
“I thank my colleagues for their determination and participation in the experiment!” concluded Ivan Nifontov.
