Salekhard joined the all-Russian event “Russian Ski Track”. More than 650 people took part in the mass ski race – a record number of participants, the administration of the district capital reported on February 25.
“The residents of Salekhard celebrated the warmest day of February at the ski resort. Families with children, work teams and athletes joined the general race at the main race “Russian Ski Track”. The head of Salekhard, Alexey Titovsky, traditionally took part, choosing the longest distance – 2024 meters,” the message says.
This year there were twice as many participants as last year; according to Titovsky, many children took to the ski slopes.
It is clarified that the “Russian Ski Track” became the final event of the Sports Week.
Let us remind you that the mass ski race in Salekhard was supposed to take place on February 18, but it moved on February 25 due to frost.
