The mini-football club “Pomorye” for the first time in the history of Arkhangelsk mini-football reached the 1/8 of the Russian Cup. The matches of the second stage of the Russian Futsal Cup took place in Surgut. Four teams competed for access to the next round: “Fakel” (Surgut), “Saratov-Volga”, “Petersburg-04” and MFK “Pomorie” (Arkhangelsk).

In the first match, the Arkhangelsk team lost to Petersburg-04 with a score of 2:5, but was able to win two decisive matches – 6:2 in the game with Saratov-Volga and 4:3 in the meeting with Fakel. As a result, MFK Pomorie scored 6 points and, based on additional indicators, reached the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup.

Also, two players from MFK Pomorie were among the best players in the second stage of the Cup. Artyom Loginov became the best goalkeeper, and Evgeny Charushin was recognized as the best forward.

– The task is completed, we are in the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup! We were ready for this stage of the Cup. At the same time, all three game days were difficult. I’m glad that we were able to achieve a positive result,” said head coach of MFC Pomorie Sergei Bazhukov.

In the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup, our team will play against the silver medalists of the Russian Championship of last season, MFK Norilsk Nickel. The matches will take place in Arkhangelsk at the Nord Arena on November 5-6 and November 24-26.
