Milos Bikovich: Repentance is a long process

Shooting of the film “Kholop-2” began in Pushkinskiye Gory near Pskov and a nearby film village.

It is worth recalling that the adventures of major Grisha and the story of his re-education, told by director Klim Shipenko with the support of artists Milos Bikovich, Ivan Okhlobystin, Maria Mironova in the first part, won people’s love. The picture became the highest-grossing domestic film in the history of Russia, having collected three billion at the box office.

Now the film team decided to shoot a comedy sequel, but from a completely different angle.

Now in the center of the plot will be spoiled Ekaterina, whose role will be played by Aglaya Tarasova. Just like the hero of Milos Bikovich, the major is always ready to drive drunk, get rude to people and avoid responsibility at the same time. After all, her mother (actress Natalya Rogozhkina) is an official who is easier to turn a blind eye to her daughter’s antics and “smear” her from the law than to take on her re-education.

“I never made sequels,” says the director. – Kholop-2 is an interesting, difficult task for me. The audience always treats the sequels of successful films with special attention and increased demands. They want to see everything that they liked in the first part, but also to experience something new from the second. Humor and entertainment are the main components of the franchise. But we also do not forget that this is an instructive and deep movie in which a love story and a story of growing up are intertwined.

Milos Bikovic will also star in the new film.

“I think that the continuation of Kholop can give a good impetus to the entire film industry,” the artist believes, “and help return viewers to cinemas. Yes, and it will just cheer everyone up. This is a rather bold story, told in plain language, but very skillfully in terms of craft and creativity. Correcting a person is not so easy, repentance and work on oneself is a long process. At the end of the first film, we see that my hero is ready for change, but is at the beginning of this difficult path. In the new part, Grisha will continue to work on himself, helping others to change.

With special warmth, the audience reacted to the character of Ivan Olobystin – a crazy psychologist in a good sense, using very non-standard methods in his work.

“This is a good film, without vulgarity, funny,” says Ivan Okhlobystin. – He votes for love, that is, for what is lacking now. It is impossible to live without irony and a smile! I have little experience in parenting, although there are many children. But I am sure that apart from love, a person does not understand anything.
