Military sports competition “Snow Leopard” started in Yakutia

About 130 schoolchildren from the ten best teams will take part in the XXV republican military sports competition “Snow Leopard”, which will be held in the village of Churapcha from March 25 to 27, reports the press service of the head and government of Yakutia.
Each team consists of eight boys and two girls who are members of military-patriotic clubs and the Youth Army movement.
The competition program includes competitions such as “Military Pages of the History of the Fatherland”, “Business Card”, “State in service, strong in battle”, competitions in partial disassembly and assembly of the AK-74 assault rifle, loading a magazine with cartridges, bullet shooting, general physical training, paramilitary relay race.
Participants will also visit museums and monuments in the area, and an evening of friendship will be organized for them.
Republican military sports games “Snow Leopard” are part of the All-Russian military sports games “Victory”. The winning team will receive the right to represent Yakutia at the finals of the All-Russian military sports games “Victory” in Moscow.
The Snow Leopard competition has been held since 2000 with the aim of military-patriotic education of youth, preparation for military service and popularization of a healthy lifestyle. Over the years, tens of thousands of children have participated in these competitions at various levels from school to national.
