Expert Sivkov called Poland’s statements about a Russian missile with a concrete warhead a “fairy tale”
Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov commented on the statement by the head of the cabinet of the President of Poland, Schroth, that the warhead of the rocket found in Poland near Bydgoszcz was made of concrete in order to confuse Ukrainian air defense.
According to Sivkov, expensive missiles are not used to disorient air defenses. And even if the warhead of the rocket is replaced with concrete, it is still extremely irrational.
“Missiles must fly at the target,” RIA Novosti quotes the expert. “Throwing her for the sake of her flying with a concrete block is very strange.” Sivkov added: “For me, this is some kind of fairy tale.”
The military expert said that in order to counteract air defense, jammers are used.
On April 27, the Polish authorities reported that 15 kilometers from Bydgoszcz, fragments of an “unidentified airborne military facility” were found. Later it turned out that this happened back in December, and the Polish military knew about it. Radio station RMF FM has learned that an air-to-ground missile with inscriptions in Russian may have been launched by the Polish military as a target during the exercise. The same radio station later reported that it was a Russian-made X-55 strategic aviation cruise missile.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in May that he only became aware of the incident at the end of April. After that, the head of Poland’s national defense, Mariusz Blaszczak, said that on December 16, the operational commander of the Armed Forces received information from the Air Operations Center about this, but did not inform the minister, government and services that he should have.
The commanders of the Polish army claim that they reported to the higher leadership.
