Military blogger and Russian Army sergeant Andrei Morozov, known under the call sign “Murz,” has died. This was announced by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Kofman. According to his friends, the blogger committed suicide.

“Sleep well, Murz. You made a huge mistake, but no one will answer for it except you,” Mr. Kofman wrote in Telegram. The owner of the Black Hundred publishing house, Dmitry Bastrakov, reported on his channel that the blogger committed suicide. The same information was provided by military correspondent Vladimir Romanov.

Andrei Morozov ran the Telegram channel “They write to us from Ioannina” about events in the zone of military operation. He had more than 108 thousand subscribers. He published a series of last posts, which are presented as a suicide note, today, February 21. He asked “not to be sad about his death” and to bury him in a cemetery in Kirovsk in the Lugansk People’s Republic next to soldiers of the Prizrak battalion (a militia unit that has been actively involved in the conflict in eastern Ukraine since 2014—particularly in battles in the region Debaltseva).
