Microsoft is testing the launch of Copilot AI assistant by default in Windows 11 – Kommersant

American corporation Microsoft testing a new feature that will launch the Colipot AI assistant automatically when Windows 11 is launched on widescreen devices. A version of the operating system with updated functionality is already available to members of the Windows Insider program.

Microsoft did not clarify what is meant by widescreen devices. By opinion The Verge, the new feature continues Microsoft’s aggressive push to promote its AI systems, and users will have to work hard to turn them off. In a similar way, the company promoted its Edge browser, which automatically launches from links in widgets or in the search section.

Previously Microsoft stated, which plans to add AI assistant Cowriter to the Notepad app. Also the company released separate application for Android with AI assistant Copilot.
