American corporation Microsoft released an update to the Windows 11 operating system, in which the OS installation interface was redesigned and new features were added. A version of the operating system with updated functionality is already available to users in the early Canary build.

The Windows installation process interface has changed for the first time in 11 years – since the release of Windows 8. Instead of a purple background, it is now white, and the user is asked to either fix the system or completely reinstall it, which will erase all data.

Also in the new version of the OS, the Voice Clarity function has been added, which, using AI algorithms, improves the quality of the user’s voice during video calls in communication applications. The work of the “screen narrator” has also been updated: it now better recognizes text in images, it now supports reading bookmarks, as well as documents and comments in Word. You can speed up the work of the “speaker” using the “Speak faster” command.

Previously, Microsoft began test a new feature that will launch the Colipot AI assistant automatically when Windows 11 is launched on widescreen devices. Also the company plans add the Cowriter AI assistant to the Notepad app.
