The centers of public services in Moscow denied the widespread information about the introduction of a restrictive period for refusing to collect and place biometric data in the Unified Biometric System. Earlier in social networks it was reported that the deadline for refusal would allegedly be limited to September 1.

There are no restrictions on the right to refuse the collection and placement of biometric personal data by law, the press service of the MFC informed. You can do this at any time in the public service centers during office hours.

You can submit an application at all public service centers. This requires an identity document.

Earlier, the Federal Law came into force, according to which organizations that have biometrics collected with the consent of a citizen are required to place the received data in the Unified Biometric System by September 30 of this year. In this case, the citizen must be notified no later than 30 days before accommodation. In case of receiving a refusal from a citizen during this time, the data is not subject to placement.

The MFC noted: to refuse the collection of biometrics, it is enough to refuse a request from a bank or other organization. This refers to the organization to which the citizen previously agreed to transfer his data.
