MegaFon is required to remove the cell tower from the headquarters of the Volga-Urals Military District

The military demand from “MegaFon” to release 4 sq. m on the roof of the building and 7 sq. m in the attic of the “chapel”, located at st. Frunze, 165 in Samara. This is the historical building of the headquarters of the Volga (Volga-Ural) military district – the House of the Red Army. This follows from the materials of the lawsuit filed by the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Central Military District in the interests of the Russian Federation, represented by the Volga-Ural Territorial Administration of Property Relations of the Ministry of Defense, to the Arbitration Court of the Samara Region. The documents were accepted for production on August 5, according to the court materials.

It was installed in the early 2000s. and provides communication to the population of a residential area with dense buildings, the representative of MegaFon insists. “Due to the expiration of the contract with the owner of the building, we are moving this equipment to a new location, not far from this place. Since there is an important transport hub at the base station, we cannot turn off the equipment until the final transfer of its functionality to a new location, so as not to leave subscribers around it without communication,” he added. He did not name the expiration date of the contract for the deployment of equipment.
