Russian Security Council Deputy Head Dmitry Medvedev on Telegram criticized the joint statement of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and US President Joe Biden, which states that any possible use of nuclear weapons by Russia will be considered a hostile act against humanity.
In Medvedev’s opinion, the Japanese premier “talks nonsense in a humiliating, loyal ecstasy,” thus “betraying the memory of hundreds of thousands of Japanese who burned to death in the nuclear bonfire of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.” Medvedev writes that Kishida should have demanded “repentance” from Biden and recalled that the United States was “the only country that has fully used nuclear weapons.”
“But no, Kishida is only service personnel for the Americans,” Medvedev continued, pointing out that the Japanese prime minister could “wash away” this shame in the traditional way of the samurai, but the “Japanese vassals” have no concept of honor.
