Medvedev called on the Japanese authorities to demand repentance from the United States for Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida should remind the US President about the use of nuclear weapons during World War II, and the warnings of the authorities of the two countries against Russia are “paranoia and monstrous shame,” declared in his Telegram channel, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

Medvedev commented on recent statements by US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who said that any possible use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation in Ukraine would be “a hostile act against all mankind, which cannot be justified.”

“This is such a monstrous shame that I will not even comment on the paranoia about the nuclear plans of our state. Think about it. The head of the Japanese government, in a humiliating, loyal ecstasy, is talking nonsense about Russia, having betrayed the memory of hundreds of thousands of Japanese who were burned in the nuclear fire of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And Kishida absolutely does not care that the only country that fully used nuclear weapons was the United States, ”the politician wrote.

According to Medvedev, the Japanese prime minister should have been reminded that Japan was the only victim of the use of nuclear weapons, and demanded from the US leadership “the repentance that was never brought for this act of war.” However, Kishida does not have the courage to take this step, the deputy chairman of the Security Council is sure: he is “only service personnel for the Americans.”

“We can only feel sorry for the Japanese. After all, such a shame can be washed away only by committing a seppuku right at a meeting of their Cabinet upon their return. Although the concept of the honor of this generation of Japanese vassals is not typical,” Medvedev said.

Last September, Joe Biden warned Russia against the use of nuclear or chemical weapons and said that Moscow could become a pariah in the world “more than ever.” Prior to this, the deputy head of the Security Council said that the best guarantee for the preservation of the country is its nuclear arsenal. In addition, in an interview with the LCI television channel, he indicated in which case Russia can use nuclear weapons – in the event of a launch of nuclear missiles, the use of nuclear weapons, attacks on critical infrastructure that controls nuclear weapons, or other actions that threaten the existence of the state itself.

In mid-August, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called Russia’s plans to use chemical or nuclear weapons during a special operation in Ukraine speculation. According to him, Russia does not have a military need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, and the main task of the country’s nuclear weapons is to “deter a nuclear attack.”

In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the threat of nuclear war is growing. “If he does not apply the first one under any circumstances, then the second one will not apply either. Because the possibilities of use in the event of a nuclear strike on our territory are very limited,” he said. According to the President, Russia is aware of what nuclear weapons are, and these means are “in a more advanced and modern form than in any other nuclear country.”
