A grenade launcher brought from Ukraine and exploded in the office of the chief commandant of the Polish police was brought into Poland without any verification. It is reported by RT with reference to the Polish media.
According to them, the Ukrainian grenade launcher was delivered by a special train running between the Polish city of Przemysl and Ukraine. Neither border guards nor customs officers checked him. And this, according to Polish journalists, raises very big questions.
The grenade launcher was one of the gifts received by the chief commandant Yaroslav Shymchik during his visit to Ukraine on December 11-12. There he met with the leadership of the Ukrainian police and the Emergency Service.
On Thursday, information appeared about an explosion in the Main Police Department, as a result of which the commandant himself was injured (he lost his hearing for a while), as well as a police officer who was in the room under his office. According to the preliminary version, the grenade launcher fired when the chief commandant picked it up. Polish media suggest that Szymczyk simply did not expect that the grenade launcher could be loaded.
