In Hungary, they are outraged because of the violation of the rights of the Hungarian minority by Ukraine
The reaction to the support of Hungary by Ukraine was the violation of the rights of the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia. This was reported to the local agency MTI by the head of the administration of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Gergely Guiyash.
According to him, rules were adopted that are incompatible with European human rights standards and violate the fundamental rights of minorities.
Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, said that Budapest would not support Ukraine’s accession to NATO and the EU until the rights of the Transcarpathian Hungarians were restored.
The head of the Foreign Ministry said that within the framework of the new Ukrainian law on education, from September this year, it is planned to disband all 99 schools of the Hungarian minority. At the same time, final and entrance exams can now be taken only in Ukrainian. At the same time, the number of subjects taught in national languages after the fourth grade will be reduced to 20%.
