The media reported on Apple’s plans to lower some characteristics of the iPhone16 Pro
Apple plans to add 2 terabytes of internal memory to the iPhone16 Pro, but the speed of reading and writing data will deteriorate, reports 9to5Mac, citing an insider.
As noted, the gadget will receive flash memory of the Qual Level Cell (QLC) standard, which does not have such high characteristics as similar TLC format devices used in current Apple phones with one terabyte of built-in memory. Therefore, the overall performance of the phone may be reduced.
The report says that Apple made this decision due to the fact that QLC flash memory will be cheaper, thus the cost of the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models will be lower. The release of these gadgets is expected in September.
