The Crew Dragon spacecraft with tourists on board successfully docked with the ISS

NASA reported: SpaceX’s reusable Crew Dragon spacecraft with space tourists on board docked with the Harmony module of the American segment of the International Space Station.

The crew of the ship, flying under the commercial program of the Axiom company, includes former NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria (commander), Italian Walter Villadei (pilot) and mission specialists Swede Marcus Wandt and Turk Alper Gezeravci (the first astronaut in Turkish history).

The current third Axiom mission (Ax-3) will keep the crew on the ISS for about two weeks. Interacting with the current crew of the station, tourists will conduct about 30 scientific experiments.

The spacecraft was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Thursday from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
