On May 15, the Moscow metro celebrated its 88th anniversary. In honor of him, a festive parade of trains was held for several days. This year it was held for the first time on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro line. According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for transport issues, the passengers liked the unique parade. About 160 thousand passengers used the opportunity to ride on seven trains of different years over the past weekend:
The Sokolniki retro train was especially popular, where you could sit on vintage seats with springs, feeling like one of the first metro passengers. Another favorite of passengers is “Ezh3”. Until recently, such trains ran along the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, and now they delight passengers at the train parade.
The exhibition of vintage cars at Partizanskaya station was watched by 79,000 passengers. 5 service and passenger cars were presented at the station.
“Many passengers came specially to ride on unique trains. On behalf of Moscow Mayor S. Sobyanin, we will continue to delight you with educational and interesting events,” said Maxim Liksutov.
