Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk, commenting on the reports of Russian departments that two Il-76 aircraft were damaged as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine by drones on the night of August 30 at Pskov Airport, admitted that the UAVs could have been launched from a marine carrier.
“Most likely … from a ship or yacht from the neutral territory of the Baltic Sea,” he said in interview News.ru.
The expert added that it is very difficult to track such a launch and it is problematic to make claims to someone.
Matviychuk added that at the moment we can only say that aircraft-type drones were used and they were not of Ukrainian production.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had successfully used long-range weapons at a distance of 700 kilometers. And the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, in an interview with the German edition of Welt, said that Kyiv uses its own weapons to attack Russian territory and fulfills its obligations not to use the weapons of Western partners.
