Users of the Telegram messenger on the evening of Thursday, December 28, complained of a large-scale failure in the program.
According to the Sboy.rf service, the number of complaints from Russian users has reached almost 3 thousand.
For an unknown reason, messages in Telegram may be sent with a long delay – both in the mobile application and in the desktop version. Some users report that Telegram has completely stopped working.
On December 8 it became known that Telegram was fined one million rubles under Article 13.50 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for failure to comply with an order to delete information prohibited for distribution by Russian legislation.
Telegram users in Russia are urged to remain vigilant not only due to the presence of prohibited content, but also due to cases of account hacking. In particular, in the Murmansk region they were seen cases of receiving fake messagessent under the guise of government officials.
