Mash: Friedman is thinking about returning to Russia

By data telegram channel Mash, billionaire Mikhail Fridman plans to return to Russia.
Fridman is a citizen of the Russian Federation, so there are no theoretical barriers to his return, lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky told the publication.
However, as Mash notes, the billionaire is concerned about how Russian law enforcement agencies and society will react to the fact that he and his partner Petr Aven donated 150 million euros to Ukraine in 2022 in an unsuccessful attempt to escape US and EU sanctions.
Earlier on Friday, the SBU in its Telegram channel announced the arrest of all Ukrainian assets of Russian businessmen Fridman, Aven and Andrei Kosogov in the amount of more than $463 million.
The arrest was imposed “on all corporate rights in Ukraine that belonged to the sanctioned Russian oligarchs,” the statement says.
Among the blocked assets are financial and insurance companies, mobile communications and IT companies, as well as mineral water factories.
The SBU emphasized that the seizure of assets will not allow them to be “rewritten” to dummies in order to avoid transfer to state ownership.
In Ukraine, a case has been opened against Fridman on charges of financing the Russian defense industry.
