The actress was last seen in Moscow in the spring. At the Luna Theater, where Kondulainen is on staff, she was expected at a troupe meeting in early September, but she did not show up. None of the actress’s phones are answered.
The artistic director of the Luna Theater, Evgeny Gerasimov, could not answer the question “Where is Kondulainen?”
“Nobody knows,” the publication quotes Gerasimov. “She’s not at the theater, she’s not at home either, her friends don’t know where she is.”
In 2020, Elena Kondulainen suffered a stroke. The president of the Luna Theater and her friend, actor Sergei Prokhanov, said that he was there when the actress became ill.
According to him, at the restaurant, “she took a sip of champagne and said: “Who gave me poison?”
From the restaurant, Kondulainen, according to Prokhanov, was taken by ambulance to the Botkin hospital, “the phone was taken away, visits were forbidden.”
It took a lot of work for the actress to restore motor functions and speech after a stroke. She was treated in several sanatoriums, but was always in touch.
