Markov predicted increased pressure on Israel to stop the operation in Gaza

Director of the Institute for Political Studies Sergei Markov believes that the world will sharply increase pressure on Israel to stop the military operation in the Gaza Strip, reports aif.ru.
“From the point of view of most countries, Israel had the right to respond to Hamas’s brutal attack,” Markov told the publication. “But now revenge is enough.”
At the same time, as the publication’s interlocutor noted, “it’s hard to say whether Israel will agree or not.”
Consent, according to Markov, will mean that “the operation will end in the near future.” And this, in his opinion, is “the most likely option.”
However, “if Tel Aviv does not agree and continues the military operation, then there will be a serious expansion of this war,” the expert emphasized.
“Most likely, the chain there will be like this: Hamas, then Hezbollah, then Iran,” added the director of the Institute for Political Studies.
