Actress Maria Shukshina was outraged by the artist’s similar statement, noting that Pugacheva’s own work deteriorated significantly when this “freedom” appeared.
On the air of the Tsargrad TV channel, Shukshina recalled that under the Soviet Union, the Primadonna sang “the beautiful sonnets of Shakespeare,” and she also had a wonderful song from “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”. According to the actress, the singer had amazing compositions, and all her work “delighted the ear.”
At the same time, as Shukshina noted, after the appearance of freedom, Pugacheva appeared songs in the spirit of “My Bunny, I am your … basin” and so on. The artist wonders if this is freedom, and whether the Primadonna managed to prove herself a free person, starting to do what she wants. According to the actress, this tells her a minus, not a plus, because Shukshina, like all Russian people, fell in love with her for those songs, and not for “consumer goods”.
Moreover, Shukshina doubted that Pugacheva would have managed to become a popular performer if she had been born in our time. According to the actress, now many children study with tutors from the first grade, and sports need equipment and coaches. Shukshina recalled that earlier sports sections, education and healthcare were free.
Pugacheva, as the actress noted, had simple parents, and she would live in a small apartment, where the piano would not even fit, and she would have to pay for the lessons, since many normal teachers “run away from budgetary institutions”, earning private lessons.
