It is not planned to introduce a special designation for goods that will be imported into the territory of the Russian Federation through parallel imports. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industrial Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
“I would not do this, because if we are talking about quality, then quality control is subject to the same absolutely as traditional imports or domestic production,” Manturov said.
The head of the department also noted that if the nomenclature fits the labeling, then it also applies to parallel imports.
The option to introduce special labeling for goods that will be imported into the territory of the Russian Federation was proposed in June by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
