An American who committed a shooting at a gay club was found guilty of five murders and sentenced to five life terms without the possibility of pardon.
Last November, 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich attacked a popular gay establishment in Colorado Springs, Colorado, killing five people and injuring at least 18.
The judge questioned the defendant’s knowledge that he would receive five consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, to which Aldrich replied in the affirmative. In addition to five first-degree murders, Lee Aldrich also pleaded guilty to 46 attempted first-degree murders and two “bias crimes.”
