Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that if the countries of the conflict region support the decision, the Malaysian armed forces may go to support Palestine in the conflict with Israel. His words are quoted by the Malaysian agency Bernama.
“Malaysia’s armed forces can only deploy into Palestine if consensus is reached between neighboring countries. Malaysian troops will be used for peacekeeping or humanitarian missions,” Ibrahim said.
He clarified that without reaching a consensus, planes with Malaysian peacekeepers are not allowed to land on Palestinian territory.
