If the Russian Federation took a passive position in Ukraine, it would expose its back to forces that cannot bear the very fact of its existence, wrote in his Telegram channel, Deputy Head of the Russian Guard in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky. From his point of view, what is happening in the Middle East provides an opportunity to take a close look at Moscow’s motives, methods and approaches to the Northeast Military District.

The presence in Ukraine of forces that cannot bear the very fact of Russia’s existence, the arrival of these forces in the leadership of the former Soviet republic and the gradual subordination of all resources to their will – human resources, first of all, the support of these forces by the West, whose goals and objectives completely coincide with the goals and objectives of these forces – All this taken together leaves no doubt that if the Russian side had taken a passive position, the stars would inevitably have aligned unfavorably for Moscow, Khodakovsky shared his point of view.

He stressed that the consequences of the Russian special military operation will be complex and long-lasting. According to Khodakovsky, the Russian Federation has yet to explain its decisions to those who will have to live with these consequences.

“It would seem that if something doesn’t suit you in a neighboring country, turn away from it and give it the opportunity to live by its own rules. But such a decision cannot be unilateral, otherwise turning away is just turning your back,” summed up the deputy head of the Russian Guard in the DPR.
