From September 8 to 10, elections will be held in 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation as part of a single voting day. Additional elections of deputies to the State Duma of the 8th convocation will be held in four single-mandate constituencies. In 21 regions of the Russian Federation, heads of subjects will be elected, in another five – in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug – the highest official will be elected by regional parliaments on the proposal of the President of the Russian Federation. Elections of deputies to legislative assemblies will be held in 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In 24 regions, remote electronic voting will be used on the federal platform vybory.gov.ru.
In Moscow, the press center of the MIA “Russia Today” will host events of the information center of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation. A briefing by CEC Chairman Ella Pamfilova on the voting process is scheduled for 10:00 Moscow time.
From September 8 to 11, a situational center for public control over voting on the Single Voting Day will operate in Moscow on the basis of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Press briefings on the voting progress will be held daily through September 11. As part of a series of press briefings, observers and experts will report on the voting process.
