How reports Venezolana de Television channel, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro told reporters about the foiled attempt on his life.
According to the head of state, the incident occurred at a rally in Diego Ibarra Square in the center of Caracas on Monday, March 25, after Maduro’s candidacy was included in the list of participants in the country’s presidential elections.
“Today… two armed men were preparing to assassinate me… The detainees admitted that they belong to a defunct far-right party,” Maduro said.
