Luge runners opened the competitive season in Krasnaya Polyana

The Russian Youth Luge Cup took place on the bobsleigh and luge track in Sochi. More than 100 participants from 7 regions of Russia performed at the SBT “Sanki” in Krasnaya Polyana. There were 3 age groups in the tournament – up to 14-15 years old, 16-17 and 18-21.
Athletes from the Krasnodar region also performed successfully in the Cup.
In team competitions among juniors and junior women 18-21 years old, the Kuban team, which included Nikita Shalaginov, Nicole Dreval, David Chamyan And Yaroslav Ordov became winners.
Nikita Shalaginov became the best in a personal tournament in a single-seat sleigh
David Chamyan And Yaroslav Ordov in two-seater sleighs they won silver medals. In the same discipline, juniors Nicole Dreval with a partner from another region also won second place.
At a younger age up to 14-15 years Artem Smirnov And Tikhon Kvasnikov won bronze medals in team competitions.
