Singer Lolita Milyavskaya responded to the cancellation of her concert in Omsk in March

Singer Lolita Milyavskaya confirmed the cancellation of her performance in Omsk, which was supposed to take place in March at the local Philharmonic.

The regional Ministry of Culture previously stated that the concert was canceled because a lease agreement for the venue had not been concluded. At the same time, on January 11, an appeal from the local “Council of Atamans of the Cossack People” was published on the social network, which contained concepts such as “licentiousness,” “obscenity,” and “ethical standards of society.” The letter was signed by the marching ataman of the Omsk region, Vladislav Bulankin, and addressed to the regional Minister of Culture, Yuri Trofimov. The Cossacks’ appeal also listed Russian cities in which Lolita concerts were canceled over the past month – after the “naked party.” Thus, 10 cities of the Moscow region and eight cities of the Urals and Siberia were indicated. The Cossacks wondered why their Omsk was still not on this list.

“I have nothing to comment,” stated Lolita RBC. “This is already a concert of the Cossacks.”
