Lokomotiv won over Traktor in overtime

Lokomotiv won a second victory in a row in the semi-final playoff series with Chelyabinsk Traktor. This time the opponent offered more severe resistance. The fate of the match was decided by overtime.
Traktor had to resist the pressure of the home team without its main trump card – in the first semi-final match, the Siberians’ reliable goalkeeper, Zach Fucale, was injured. Mylnikov, who replaced him, could become a weak point in Traktor’s defense.
Lokomotiv opened the scoring in the first period. Artur Kayumov with Berezkin and Bereglazov carried out a combination and broke through the opponent’s goal. But not even three minutes had passed before Traktor equalized the score.
In the second period, Martin Gernat converted the power play, again putting the team ahead. But in the third, the stubborn Siberians equalized again.
In overtime, Lokomotiv still turned out to be stronger. The winning goal was scored by Georgy Ivanov.
